Front Of House Lead

Schedule: 32-38 hrs/week through- December 24th

Reports to: Co-Executive Directors, Managing Director

Pay: $22+/hour DOE, plus health and dental benefits

Terms/Dates: Immediately-December 24th, Thursday-Sundays + Wednesday Remote. This is a full-time, temporary position.

Nordo is seeking a vibrant and highly-efficient Front of House Lead for our immersive dinner theater in Pioneer Square. The Front of House Lead will act as a Lead Server and Expo for our two shows this fall/winter. The FOH Lead is responsible for overseeing the service staff, and ensuring a smooth, seamless service.                               

Key Responsibilities:

·      Act as Head Server and Expo, managing two levels of dining rooms and service staff, scheduling and training.

·      Work with the Executive Chef and Producer(s) on planning the dining service based upon the performance aesthetics and vision, including setting meetings early on in the process with the Executive Chef and Producer(s) to communicate general ideas, expectations and concepts.

·      Manage rentals in both venues and ensuring a smooth experience for both clients and staff.

·      Manages POS system, including training and maintaining servers and bar staff’s POS knowledge, maintaining the organization of the point of sales systems, i-pads and sales during show runs.

·      Educate and train Front of House staff on the food and drink menus, paying special attention to alternative dietary options and allergies.

·      Lead the set-up/tear-down and organization of the dining room; cleaning and tear-down duties as needed.

Who You Are:

·      Someone with a passion for creating magical experiences.

·      An experienced Front of House professional; a Lead Server, Server and Host- you have worn many hats!

·      Highly organized and calm under pressure- the complexities of our venue and service make Nordo unique. Innovative and quick thinking required.

·      A strong leader. You can lead a FOH team and inspire them to truly care for the service experience and guests.

·      Able to climb stairs and lift 40lbs. 

·      Wine knowledgeable. Enjoys talking about wine and has the ability to help guests pair selections with each course.

·      Vaccinated against COVID-19, holds a Food Handler’s + MAST permit or is able to obtain them.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Mondays and Tuesdays. Compensation is $22.00 - $24.00/hour.
