VP of Finance - Full Time (Horseshoe Hammond)

Responsible for the internal control accounting process, Warehouse, Cage and Count Room. Ensures compliance with existing and established company reporting policies and procedures and with the regulations and mandates of all governing bodies, both internal and external to the organization. Directly responsible for Financial Accounting, Revenue Audit, Cost Control, Cage, Count Room, and Warehouse. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Reports directly to the SVP & GM and is responsible for the accuracy and efficiency in the preparation of all Financial Statements. * Maintains and controls all financial records, reports and files to ensure their confidentiality and safekeeping. * Ensures that all Financial Accounting, Revenue Audit, Cost Control, Cage and Count Room employees are trained to perform their duties in an efficient and effective manner. * Assists in the timely preparation and interpretation of financial information for the property, including financial statements, budgets, forecasts, daily financial information and other financial data, after obtaining input from Operating Management as required. * Ensure compliance with the established internal controls required to safeguard the property assets and to safeguard its integrity utilizing the Company guidelines. * Responsible for monitoring expenses against a monthly operating budget as well as creating an annual departmental operating budget. * Responsible for the annual company audit during both interim and final audit work. * Provides timely and accurate support to all operating departments as needed. * Reviews the work of staff to assure that duties assigned are performed in compliance with Company guidelines. * Responsible for proactively identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline and gain accuracy. * Responsible for the development of all direct reports. * Support and maintain Horseshoe policy and procedures. * Promote outstanding guest relations. * Perform all other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises financial accounting, revenue audit and Warehouse Supervisor, and indirectly responsible for those departments.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, selecting and adjusting rates of pay and hours of work, directing the work of employees, maintaining production, appraising employees' productivity and efficiency for purposes of recommending promotions or other changes (evaluations), handling employees' grievances and complaints, disciplining employees, planning work, providing for safety and security, and monitoring or implementing legal compliance matters. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BA/BS in Accounting / Finance (or related field) required. Specific knowledge of all phases of the casino accounting cycle.
