Location: Buffalo, NY (Preferred) / Remote

Travel to Buffalo, NY every 4-6 weeks; Monday-Thursday onsite required during travel periods

CTG is seeking a Solution Architect - Crypto Coins Infrastructure & System Integration for a leading financial services client. This role is responsible for architecting and delivering enterprise-grade blockchain and digital asset infrastructure, including proprietary crypto coin platforms, within a regulated banking environment. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in blockchain architecture, crypto coin systems, cloud-native platforms, and financial systems integration.

This position requires hands-on experience designing secure, scalable, and compliant crypto asset ecosystems supporting coin issuance, custody, trading integration, and DeFi interoperability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end crypto coin infrastructure , including issuance, minting, burning, staking, and governance models

  • Architect blockchain networks , node infrastructure, validator systems, and cross-chain interoperability

  • Define tokenomics frameworks and smart contract architectures (ERC-20, ERC-721, custom tokens)

  • Integrate blockchain platforms with legacy financial systems (payments, settlement, liquidity systems)

  • Design secure digital asset custody and wallet systems , including key management (HSM, MPC)

  • Lead architecture for transaction processing, ledger systems, and blockchain orchestration layers

  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory frameworks (SEC, NYDFS, MiCA, FATF Travel Rule, GDPR)

  • Evaluate and integrate DeFi protocols, DEXs, NFTs, DAOs, and Web3 services

  • Define cloud-native architecture using microservices, Kubernetes, and API-first design

  • Oversee integration with KYC/AML and blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis)

  • Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, and reference implementations

  • Guide engineering teams through design, build, and deployment phases (Agile/DevOps)

  • Conduct risk assessments, security reviews, and disaster recovery planning

Scope of Role

  • Enterprise-level ownership of digital asset and crypto coin architecture

  • Cross-functional leadership across engineering, security, compliance, and product teams

  • Design authority for blockchain infrastructure and financial system integrations

  • Advisory role on emerging technologies including CBDCs, programmable money, and decentralized identity

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years in solution architecture or enterprise systems design

  • 2+ years hands-on experience in blockchain, crypto, or fintech environments

  • Strong experience with blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Hyperledger, Solana, etc.)

  • Experience with smart contract development (Solidity, Rust)

  • Deep knowledge of crypto custody, wallets, and transaction systems

  • Strong cloud architecture experience ( AWS/Azure/GCP )

  • Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines

  • Strong understanding of cryptography, HSMs, MPC, and security best practices

  • Experience integrating financial systems and compliance tooling

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and Jira-based project execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect certification

  • Certified Blockchain Architect or equivalent credential

  • Experience in regulated financial institutions or banking environments

  • Exposure to DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, Web3 ecosystems, CBDCs

  • Experience with cross-chain interoperability and decentralized governance models

  • Strong understanding of digital identity and programmable money systems

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $58.72 to $97.86. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
