Infrastructure Solutions Architect
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking an Infrastructure Solutions Architect to serve as a System Engineer. This role is responsible for translating business requirements into technical infrastructure solutions. The architect will partner with clients and internal technology experts to design, document, and implement robust and scalable infrastructure that aligns with business needs and enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Translate Business Requirements into Technical Requirements and subsequently into Low-Level Design (LLD) solutions.
  • Create High-Level Designs (HLDs) and LLDs, incorporating requirements for CPU, memory, storage (NAS, SAN), and backup schedules.
  • Partner with Technology Infrastructure Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce design solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to established reference architecture and framework standards.
  • Work with Capacity Planners to determine hosting locations and solution sizing.
  • Identify and document issues, risks, assumptions, and key decisions that impact the technical design.
  • Communicate project status and updates to Technology Project Managers and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support project managers throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to create end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
  • Knowledge of database technologies, interfaces, and network infrastructure (HTTP, TCP, DNS, Load-balancers).
  • Understanding of cloud and cloud-based technologies.
  • Proficiency in creating conceptual infrastructure designs using tools like MS Visio.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Familiarity with Hadoop.

Professional Skills:
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead the design phase of a project.
  • Customer service-focused with good communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to articulate proposed solutions to both business and technical audiences.
  • Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision to meet deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud or AWS solutions.
  • Previous experience as a Software Developer.
  • Understanding of PMM/DSES processes.
