Overview
We are seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our regional technology environment at Hyundai MOBIS Corporate Center America (MCCA) supporting our operations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. You will translate global standards into tailored regional guidelines, drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, manage critical incidents, coordinate infrastructure projects, and cultivate strategic partnerships to create a resilient, cost-effective, and highly available IT landscape. This job position will be within MOBIS Corporate Center America.
Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Design & Consultation:
  • Evaluate current and planned infrastructure designs for cost-efficiency, scalability, manageability, and compliance
  • Adapt global headquarters' standards and roadmaps into region-specific IT guidelines
  • Recommend cost-effective, innovative best practices to address critical business challenges
  • Ensure new initiatives and existing environments align with local regulations

Operational Excellence:
  • Assess regional IT infrastructure maturity and implement continuous improvement plans
  • Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering and Security to maximize service availability and reliability
  • Define and champion regional IT operations KPIs based on global metrics and local priorities
  • Support the implementation of IT infrastructure projects and establish operational guidelines for new business entities

Regional IT Operation Support:
  • Oversee regional incident escalations, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders
  • Conduct root cause analysis of major incidents and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain current documentation of regional infrastructure configurations
  • Serve on the regional change control board to review IT infrastructure changes
  • Coordinate and review regional infrastructure projects to ensure on-time delivery and compliance

Partner Relationship Management:
  • Enhance service delivery and collaboration with Hyundai AutoEver and other key IT partners
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new technology partners to strengthen regional capabilities
  • Set clear performance metrics and oversee continuous partner performance reviews

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer or similar role in a corporate environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • 5+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure architecture and implementation experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English
  • Hands-on expertise with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V)
  • Deep knowledge of network design and protocols, including routing, switching, and firewall technologies
  • Practical experience with storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and backup/recovery strategies
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid architectures
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server and major Linux distributions (Red Hat, Rocky, Ubuntu, CentOS)
  • Scripting or automation skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages
  • Proven track record of maintaining compliance with global and local regulations (GDPR, SOX, etc.)
  • Incident management and root cause analysis expertise, with excellent communication skills

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Master's degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
  • Advanced certifications such as VMware VCAP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Cisco certifications (CCNP Enterprise or higher) or equivalent networking credentials
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and holding ITIL Foundation certification
  • Multiregional project leadership and cross-cultural stakeholder engagement experience
  • Bilingual speaker (English and Korean) is a plus.
