Butler Machinery has an awesome opportunity for an HR Intern at our Corporate office in South Fargo. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Human Resources Intern to join our high-energy HR team! We're committed to being an employer of choice in the Fargo area and throughout the tri-state area. This position will report to the Senior HR Business Partner and help support the HR department's projects.

This is a paid, part-time, non-benefited position. Start date dependent on availability of successful candidate.

Butler Machinery is the authorized Caterpillar dealer for North Dakota and South Dakota with 15 locations in North and South Dakota. Butler Ag Equipment has 4 locations in Nebraska and one in Montana. Butler offers Caterpillar products and services to support the construction and Ag industry and is proud to represent many manufacturers including: FENDT, AGCO, Drago, Challenger, Horsch, Killbros, Balzer and more.

As a family business for three generations, we currently employ over 800 associates in 20 locations throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Montana. We are looking for self-motivated, forward-thinking individuals to join us in our continued success.

Responsibilities:

• Running Reports through our HRIS system
• Tracking of new hires, terminations and promotions
• Sending out Exit and New Hire surveys
• Assisting in the Recruitment Process
• Filing, scanning and indexing documents
• Assisting in coding invoices
• HR Projects as assigned

We will ensure the successful candidate has some exposure to EEO-1 and Affirmative Action reporting as well as to the company benefits as time permits.

Requirements & Competencies: Successful candidate will be a junior or senior level college student majoring in Business Administration with emphasis in the field of Human Resources. Will be outgoing and willing to interact with all levels of team members within the organization. Must be able to work independently and in a group as a team while working on project assignments. Hours per week will depend on projects/assignments and likely be around 10-20 hours/week.

Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and have great attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft products in required
