Job description

Transport Circuit Migration Engineer (Remote – Logical Grooms Specialist) We are seeking an experienced Transport Circuit Migration Engineer with proven expertise in remote and logical grooms of transport circuits . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working across multiple transport platforms (DWDM, SONET, OTN, MPLS) and will play a critical role in ensuring seamless migrations from old to new circuit paths. Key Responsibilities Preconfigure new circuit ports and logical cross-connections (PTD).

Pretest new logical circuit paths and resolve design discrepancies in collaboration with Network Planners. Execute remote logical grooms of transport circuits across multi-vendor equipment (e.g., Lumen, Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Infinera, Nokia). Validate grooms ensuring no alarms, errors, or outstanding issues remain.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues during migration activities. De-provision legacy circuits and ports following successful migration. Document procedures, results, and lessons learned with precision.

Qualifications 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with telecom transport layers: DWDM, SONET, OTN, IP/MPLS. Proven experience in circuit grooming, migration, and transport network operations. Strong understanding of logical and physical transport layers.

Excellent troubleshooting skills across multi-vendor environments. Ability to work independently while collaborating with network planners and engineers. Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills Preferred Experience Working knowledge of OSS tools and NMS platforms used in transport provisioning.
