Job description

What Transportation Analytics contributes to Cardinal Health The Transportation Analyst is responsible for supporting 3pl clients, Warehouse Operations, Customer Operations, New Business Implementations, and the CRM team with all aspects of transportation. The Analyst is responsible for managing the relationship with Transportation Providers. The role supports internal processes including MTK Management, POD Process, Yard management for campus transfers and Retail Routing Guide management.

Additionally, the analyst must be experienced in carrier selection, transportation rates, and routing. Responsibilities include responding to 3pl clients regarding transportation needs or concerns. Must be able to work with motor carriers to expedite shipments, address delivery, and OS&D issues.

We are looking for an experienced Transportation Analyst who has a positive, collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. This position reports to Supervisor, Transportation Analyst. Job Summary The Transportation Analyst is accountable for the management of all inbound and outbound analysis.

This job is responsible for the timely communication of all carrier and transportation updates to the Operations teams. This job provides analytical support for all Transportation management functions to ensure cost control, service levels, information flow, as well as enforce compliance. The Transportation Analyst assists with the development of transportation initiatives as an integral part of the Operations team.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Hybrid Schedule - Three days in office, two days at home Responsibilities Analyzes transportation costs, negotiates carrier rates, determines service levels, and compiles carrier outbound and inbound summary reporting. Collaborates and leads quarterly business review process with carrier partners. Prepares month end inbound and outbound accruals relative to freight plan and provides financial reporting to leadership.

Manage transportation of products for 3PL clients. Analyzes regional activities and interprets operation results to develop solutions to help drive profitability and growth. Works with regional leadership to provide guidance as necessary to optimize transportation systems, methods, procedures, and costs.

Partners with our national customer care team to determine root causes of service level defects and work with the broader organization to provide customer focused transportation solutions. Maintains department KPI's and measure for continuous improvements. Multi-task with phone calls, emails, and interoffice communication tools.

Warehouse Management Understanding of ERP systems and Rule creations Supporting warehouse operations through trouble shooting. Perform analysis on warehouse and client data. Delivery Management System Facilitate 3pl Specialty Program through Delivery Management Module To include EPTN route and stop set ups and general upkeep Troubleshoot warehouse and driver issues as necessary in this module Qualifications 2-4 years of experience, preferred.

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent communication, people skills, and presentation skills with extreme attention to detail. Expert skills with Elite Warehouse Management System or compatible system Advanced PC skills - Database: Access: Excel Subject Matter expert in self-service analytics tool (SQL), data visualization tools, (Tableau) Customer Service experience preferred What is expected of you and others at this level Applies basic concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks.

Works on projects of limited scope and complexity Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems. Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions. Develops competence by performing structured work assignments.
