Transportation Analyst

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Mid Level Transportation Analysts (Level 3) to join our 24 X 7 Logistics team in Seattle, WA, Auburn, WA, Charleston, SC, Mesa, AZ, and St Louis, MO.

The primary working shift is Monday - Friday, but alternate shifts that includes the weekend are available as well. Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may change to support mission requirements and include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)

This role supports Enterprise Transportation and Logistics across all business units critical to the supply chain health, enabling production, and meeting various program needs. This is a new position due to increased growth on our 24 x 7 Logistics team. The Transportation Analyst will work to provide optimal solutions utilizing contracted carriers for all modes of transportation balancing schedule and cost.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 4+ years of experience working in logistics or transportation

  • 4+ years of experience communicating with senior managers and executives, customers (internal and external), business partners / suppliers / subcontractors, and government representatives

  • 4+ years of experience with multi-tasking and working in a team environment

  • Experience in a role that required strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • 4+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

  • 4+ years of experience managing ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment in support of multiple organizations

  • 4+ years of experience in a role that required teaming and collaboration skills, and ability to work well with a geographically dispersed cross-functional and matrix team

  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

  • 3+ years of experience with freight forwarding and/or transportation modes: FTL, LTL, International and Domestic Air Freight, Ocean, Small Parcel

  • 1+ years of experience with documentation and certification requirements of dangerous goods in transportation in support to compliance initiative
