The Opportunity

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in preparation and review of E & I estimates in the following industries:
    • Advanced Generation 
    • Battery Storage 
    • Utility Solar 
    • Fuel & Natural Resources/Process 
    • Water & Wastewater 
  • Understand design scope and develop quantities 
  • Apply productivity rates to quantities to develop manhours 
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Estimating database 
  • Works with the estimating team to create process efficiencies 
  • Prepare and present estimates to management 
  • Update & maintain historical data 
  • Travel to active projects to perform audits etc.

  • Strong E & I skillset 
  • Industrial Project Field experience 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • The ability to work under timelines 
  • The ability to manage multiple projects 
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) proficiency 
  • Estimating Software (SAGE Timberline, InEight) experience  
  • 1 to 3 year estimating experience  
  • Field and/or Project experience is a plus 
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Work Environment/Physical Demands

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
