Commercial Estimator-Fencing & Landscaping

Location: Fort Myers, FL
Work Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The Commercial Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial fencing and related construction projects. This role supports bid development from plan review through proposal submission and plays a key part in expanding commercial business through relationship building and proactive market engagement. The ideal candidate combines strong estimating skills with business development and client-facing experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret commercial drawings, site plans, and specifications

  • Prepare detailed takeoffs, material quantities, and pricing for bids

  • Develop and submit estimates for ITBs and RFPs within required deadlines

  • Track bid activity, follow up on submitted proposals, and manage pipeline

  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, and property managers

  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure accurate scope handoff and material planning

  • Attend pre-bid meetings and represent the company professionally

  • Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and expand commercial opportunities

Required Qualifications
  • Experience estimating commercial construction projects

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications
