Aspirus Eagle River Hospital in Eagle River, WI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team!
The Maintenance Mechanic II performs repairs and maintenance on AWH buildings, equipment and compounds. Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled jobs including regular and preventative maintenance and emergency disaster and recover services / repair. Mechanic II will perform maintenance for assigned Aspirus facilities throughout all Aspirus regions in Wisconsin.
HOURS:Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. Day shift. Will partake in on-call rotation.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of mechanical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • State approved apprenticed Millwright or Machinery Repairman or equivalent work life experience.
  • Preferred completion of designated course or equivalent at a Technical College.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience preferred in general maintenance in a commercial, industrial, or heath care setting.
  • Technical training in mechanical and/electrical subject areas is desirable.
  • Possesses a valid Wisconsin Driver's License required.
  • Must possess and exercises good public relations and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to effectively discuss issues with customers, clients, management, and other co-workers
  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, memos, etc.
  • Must be able to read and Life Safety plans/blueprints/equipment manuals
  • Must exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to problem solve, utilizing common sense, and conduct informational research
  • Ability to set priorities, exhibit a high degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and withstand stressful situations
  • Respect and protect confidential information (HIPPA Compliance)
  • Utilize the computer system or mobile device to check e-mail, access or print documents, complete Health Stream assignments, or other documentation required by Business Unit/Aspirus System
