Job description
Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 6 Months
As Scrum Master, the key role is definition, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of Agile practices (with an emphasis on Scrum, kanban) within the organization. Must facilitate sprint planning, retrospective, and daily activities related to stand-ups and sprint burn down; as well as maintain relevant metrics that help the team see and understand their progress during a sprint. This role owns and resolves identified impediments. Must help build an environment where continuous deployment/improvement of the development process is the focus and everyone's common goal is to deliver outstanding software.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the continual Agile transformation and practices as well as promoting accountability and transparency across all levels of the organization.
- Manage communication to required teams groups, being team representative in all required forums and updates status of ongoing work, issues and bring back questions for team(if any) and ensure proper a reply back to those forums/teams, etc.
- Facilitating the adoption, implementation and sustainability of Agile processes, principles, and practices.
- Develop, coach, and mentor team members and direct reports - Provide high-touch and hands-on team guidance, support, and coaching in close cooperation and collaboration across all roles and functions, to facilitate increasing maturity at a sustainable pace.
- Understand the project work which team is doing and should be aware of all ongoing work of team.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
- Experience working on multiple teams
- Experience working as an Agile Coach / Scrum Master across multiple teams, aware of different estimation methods
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills
- Deep understanding of common Agile practices and better product envisioning and development practices
- Proven ability to connect with cross functional teams
- Solid experience with JIRA, confluence
- Problem solving attitude
- Should have handled team of 10 members scrum team
- Should have handled more than 1 teams at a time
- CSM/CSPO/PMI Certification
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream
