Aerospace Mechanical Engineer

Aeros is a small aerospace R&D engineering company. We specialize in airships and aerostats design, manufacturing, repair, testing, and certification of aircraft and aircraft components.
We are looking for an Aerospace Engineer for a position at our office in the Los Angeles area. The ideal applicant will be a dynamic and multifaceted individual that is willing to take on a wide range of roles in order to facilitate R&D needs.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
· BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or a similar academic discipline)
· 2-5 years of related work experience
· Proficient in Solidworks (1000+ hours of work experience)
· Working knowledge of engineering drawings and drafting
· Able to work both independently and as part of a small team to produce engineering designs, analysis, testing, etc.
Other Applicable Experience:
· Aircraft certification, project management, and structural analysis experience preferred
· Strong knowledge of aircraft structure, aircraft construction, helicopters, and military specifications.
· Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal format
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Support the development of airship components, and systems including FAA certification.
· Generate engineering design data (CAD, drawings, analysis)
· Write technical reports
· Perform structural testing
· Perform QA inspections functions
· Possible Travel to customer locations
· Provide exceptional customer service to clients
