Position Title: Intern
Department: Multiple business functions available (Food Science, IT, Analytics, Marketing, Legal, HR, Supply Chain, Sales)
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: Summer 10-12 weeks

Position Summary
Interns will support a specific department by assisting with daily operations, contributing to ongoing projects, and developing skills relevant to their department - e.g., data analysis, content creation, merchandising, software development.
This role is ideal for students who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities (All Interns)
  • Support department initiatives through research, documentation, and project coordination
  • Assist with cross-functional collaboration across the 1-800-Flowers family of brands
  • Attend team meetings, present findings, and share progress with stakeholders
  • Participate in internship learning sessions, networking opportunities, and workshops
  • Contribute ideas to enhance business processes and improve customer experience

  • Support campaign planning, execution, and performance reporting
  • Assist with content creation, social media scheduling, and brand storytelling

  • Support month-end reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis

  • Collaborate with engineers on technology roadmaps and updates

Merchandising
  • Assist in assortment planning and category analysis
  • Track product performance, pricing strategies, and vendor coordination
  • Support seasonal product launches and inventory reviews

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in communication skills, organization and attention to detail, professionalism, and collaboration and interpersonal skills.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $19.00. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
