Traveling CNA Job Summary

Our organization is currently filling Traveling CNA positions. In this role, you will provide your assigned patients with daily living assistance in their homes. In addition to assisting patients with personal hygiene tasks and medication, you will provide companionship and emotional support that can greatly improve their quality of life. You will also plan, shop for, and prepare meals according to the nutritional guidelines that best support each patient. To apply for this job, you must have your CNA license or certification as well as some experience working with patients who need long-term or end-of-life care. Applicants must also have a car, but we do offer mileage reimbursement. We can also offer flexible scheduling or part-time positions to applicants who are currently pursuing other nursing qualifications.

Traveling CNA Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, brushing their teeth, and using the restroom
  • Plan, shop for, and prepare meals according to nutritional guidelines
  • Set medication reminders
  • Monitor patients’ overall health and vital signs
  • Assist with housekeeping tasks, such as changing and washing bedding, vacuuming, washing dishes, and cleaning the bathroom
  • Provide conversation and emotional support
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment

Traveling CNA Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Completion of a nursing assistant training program
  • State CNA license/certification
  • CPR certification
  • Experience with long-term or hospice care (at least 6 months preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
