Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The Pediatric CNA will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to pediatric patients in a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate should be attentive, empathetic, and skilled in assisting pediatric patients with their daily needs and activities. This role requires a strong commitment to the well-being of children and collaboration with the healthcare team.

• Patient Care: Assist pediatric patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding. Monitor vital signs, record patient information, and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff. Ensure a safe and clean environment for pediatric patients.
• Emotional Support: Provide emotional support to children and their families, creating a comforting and reassuring atmosphere. Engage in age-appropriate play and activities to promote the physical and emotional well-being of pediatric patients.
• Assistance with Procedures: Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures, including administering medications and preparing treatment areas. Help prepare pediatric patients for surgeries or diagnostic tests.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided and any changes in the patient's condition. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of medical charts.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with pediatric patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic care. Provide education to families on pediatric care and assist with discharge planning.
• Safety and Infection Control: Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Ensure the safety of pediatric patients by adhering to established safety policies and procedures.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
• Current CNA certification and active registration in the state.
• Pediatric-specific training or experience is preferred.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in dealing with children.
• Empathetic and patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Physical stamina to assist with lifting and moving pediatric patients.
