Job description

Yield AnalystPBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Yield Analyst to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Martinez, CA refinery.

The Yield Analyst reports to the Director of Business Process and is a part of our financial team. They support the refinery's reporting of production through accurate recording of shipments, receipts and inventory and will work closely with operations, inspectors, and schedulers to ensure that all refinery inventories and movements are captured daily. Account for all hydrocarbon consumption, production, movement, inventory and balancing within the refinery boundary using Data Warehouse software. Create and maintain refinery models to reflect actual refinery configuration. Must work effectively in a time sensitive environment and meet daily deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or completeness.

Job Responsibilities May Include:

  • Daily independent compilation of refinery production data gathered from multiple sources including internal and external teams. Execute the daily procedures necessary to populate the system with pertinent data from the prior day and generate accurate reports in accordance with established procedures.
  • Review of collected data to ensure quality, identifying issues and making corrections while meeting daily and weekly reporting deadlines.
  • Collaboration with yield accounting counterpart to divide routine workload and ensure execution of key deliverables which include:
    • Daily refinery production reports are due at 10:00AM on weekdays (Friday through Sunday data is submitted on Mondays).
    • Peer review of submitted reports.
    • Support Foreign Trade Zone reporting requirements.
    • Prepare EIA / governmental and other reports assigned.
    • Perform special projects as assigned.
    • Support loss control efforts as defined by the Loss Control Analyst.
  • Drive continuous improvement by promoting the identification and development of yield accounting process enhancements.
  • Interact with other Refinery and Corporate staff to address questions regarding our daily production reporting.
  • Identify and resolve data quality and other issues that impact the accuracy or timeliness of refinery volumetric or mass balances. Involve other department personnel and management as needed.
  • Must work effectively in a time sensitive environment and meet daily deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or completeness.

Position-Specific Requirements:

  • Must be available to work early mornings (6:30 AM)
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
  • Candidate must have active TWIC card or be able to obtain a TWIC card. Information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Business or Accounting preferred) or a minimum of 3 years of petrochemical / refinery charge and yield / manufacturing accounting experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Experience with Aspen Unified Reconciliation and Accounting (AURA) Preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience preferred in any combination of:
    • Production reporting
    • Manufacturing experience (refining, petrochemical, or other industries)
    • Office/accounting work environment
  • This position is on site 5 days a week

The salary range for this position is $92,846.06-$164,756.20.The compensation range listed in this posting is in compliance with applicable state law. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate's compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance-based increases. In addition to salary, PBF offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes bonus eligibility, health care, retirement benefits, and paid time off.
