Role Overview:
Could you be our next AI & Analytics Reporting Manager? Globe Life is looking for an AI & Analytics Reporting Manager to join the team!
This role is responsible for leading organizational reporting strategies and AI-driven analytics initiatives. This role owns the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of reporting solutions and data products to diverse business stakeholders using diverse data sources including, but not limited to, a Data Warehouse and AI/ML solution ecosystems built on AWS - including AWS Redshift, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and related services. This role also leverages Tableau as a primary platform for the design and delivery of interactive dashboards and self-service analytics solutions for business stakeholders. This role demands a unique blend of deep technical expertise across data repositories, AI/ML, and infrastructure, paired with strong managerial capabilities in Agile delivery, resource planning, budget governance, production operations, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who thrives at the intersection of data, AI, and engineering excellence.
This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In-Office Tuesday-Thursday).
What You Will Do:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BI Developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Data Engineers and Data Architects to support the enterprise Data Lake and Data Warehouse environment, with a strong focus on understanding data models and structures to enable enterprise reporting and analytics delivery.
  • Define business and technical requirements, contribute to solution design, and oversee the delivery of AI/ML initiatives including LLM-based ChatBots, Agentic AI workflows, and OCR document processing pipelines, collaborating closely with Data Engineering teams leveraging AWS services such as AWS Bedrock, AgentCore, SageMaker, BDA, Textract, OpenSearch, and Amazon Q.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on the design and implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration workflows to ensure data is properly structured and available for reporting and analytics consumption.
  • Oversee source control practices and code quality standards for the BI and analytics team, ensuring adherence to peer review standards and CI/CD pipeline integrity in collaboration with Data Engineering.
  • Oversee the design, development, and governance of enterprise Tableau dashboards and self-service analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with business reporting standards and stakeholder needs.
  • Define and enforce reporting standards, data visualization best practices, and dashboard lifecycle management across the Tableau environment.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, reporting consumers, and product owners to gather, analyze, and translate complex reporting and AI requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Apply a strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies to guide Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, leveraging JIRA to manage team workflows, track delivery progress, and maintain backlog visibility.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and project estimates to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Conduct capacity planning and workforce planning to align team capabilities with organizational demand and project pipeline.
  • Partner with leadership to support budget planning and management, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on team expenditures and cloud cost optimization efforts.
  • Maintain awareness of production health across all analytics reporting and BI platforms, partnering with the administrative and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and SLA adherence, and escalating issues as needed to drive timely resolution.
  • Evaluate and recommend analytics, visualization, and AI/ML tools and emerging technologies to continuously improve reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and support career development for team members.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, AI governance, and regulatory standards across all reporting and analytics solutions.

What You Can Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering, Information Systems, BI, Analytics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in IT with strong progression through BI, analytics, or data engineering.
  • 5+ years designing, developing, and governing enterprise-scale Tableau dashboards and self-service analytics solutions.
  • 3+ years leading and mentoring BI or analytics teams, including capacity planning, talent development, and performance management.
  • 3+ years managing Agile/Scrum delivery using JIRA, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
  • 2+ years contributing to AI/ML and Generative AI initiatives, including LLM applications, Agentic AI, or intelligent document processing.
  • Demonstrated experience with budget planning, cloud cost forecasting, cross-functional collaboration, and executive-level communication.
  • Strong Tableau proficiency for enterprise dashboard design, governance, and self-service analytics.
  • Working knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI, RAG, and prompt engineering; familiarity with AWS Bedrock, AgentCore, SageMaker, Textract, OpenSearch, and Amazon Q.
  • Understanding of data warehousing, Star/Snowflake schemas, and SCD; experience with AWS Redshift, SQL Server, and AWS services including S3, Lambda, Athena, and CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration using MWAA and Glue Workflows.
  • Strong SQL proficiency; working knowledge of Python, GitHub, and Azure DevOps TFS.
  • Tableau Desktop Certified Professional, AWS Certified Data Engineer, AWS Certified ML Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect, PMI-ACP, CSM, or PMP, preferred.
