HCM Functional Analyst Details
Essential Job Duties:
  • Serve as the HRIS partner supporting designated HCM areas in Workday, such as Core HR, Benefits, Talent, Advanced Compensation, etc.,
  • Coordinates with managers and users to identify systems problems; assesses severity of the issues and prioritizes responses as appropriate.
  • Performs system tests and collaborates with IT to resolve issues and errors.
  • Provide consultation to HR Business Partners building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, providing solutions and impact analysis
  • Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday HCM capabilities
  • Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use Workday
  • Configure, test, validate and implement HCM Business Process changes in Workday
  • Assist in testing of integrations, security, annual events
  • Maintain HCM master data values in Workday (ex: Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, Locations)
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HCM related issues
  • Provide input and knowledge sharing with Workday Team Lead, and Functional Team members as appropriate
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process acumen
  • Develop and maintain simple to complex Workday reports, including matrix and composite reports, utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer
  • Deliver meaningful metrics, trends and analytical insights via Workday reporting and dashboards
  • Provide support for existing custom reports in Workday

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR clients, cross-functional colleagues and IT
  • Ability to accurately collect information to understand and assess the clients' needs and situation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
  • Analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand the business requirements, user needs and translate them into operational requirements
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Workday HCM experience required.
  • Workday HCM PRO Certification required.
  • HR functional and system experience preferred
