Montefiore is seeking a Product Lead - Workday Analytics & Security to serve as the subject matter expert and product lead for Workday Reporting, Analytics, and Security capabilities across the organization. This role provides hands-on leadership for the design, development, governance, optimization, and support of Workday reporting and analytics solutions, while ensuring appropriate security and access to workforce data.

The Product Lead will drive the Reporting & Analytics roadmap, establish enterprise standards, oversee the reporting backlog, and deliver scalable solutions that support operational, workforce, and executive decision-making. The role partners with HR, Payroll, Finance, Workforce Planning, IT Security, Compliance, Internal Audit, Data & Analytics, and business leaders to translate business requirements into sustainable Workday solutions. The Product Lead will also evaluate emerging Workday capabilities and identify opportunities to improve automation, self-service analytics, data quality, and business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics Product Leadership Serve as the primary subject matter expert and product owner for Workday Reporting and Analytics. Deliver and execute the Reporting & Analytics roadmap and manage the backlog, priorities, enhancements, technical debt, and report rationalization. Establish standards and best practices for report development, testing, deployment, documentation, and lifecycle management. Evaluate new Workday capabilities and prioritize opportunities based on business value, complexity, risk, and organizational priorities.

Workday Reporting & Business Intelligence Provide hands-on expertise in designing, developing, testing, and optimizing complex Workday reports, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite Reports. Leverage Business Objects, Report Data Sources, Calculated Fields, prompts, filters, dashboards, and other Workday reporting capabilities to deliver scalable solutions. Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and operational reporting that provide accurate and actionable workforce insights. Establish standardized definitions and calculations for enterprise HR metrics and rationalize redundant, obsolete, and manually maintained reports.

Workforce Analytics & Data Develop analytics solutions supporting workforce planning, headcount, turnover, vacancies, recruiting, compensation, payroll, organizational effectiveness, and employee movement. Partner with HR and business leaders to translate business questions into meaningful analytics and actionable insights. Provide expertise in Workday Prism Analytics, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and related analytics capabilities. Evaluate opportunities to combine Workday and external data and support data ingestion, transformation, validation, and analytical modeling where applicable. Promote trusted, consistent, and self‑service workforce analytics while reducing reliance on manual and spreadsheet‑based reporting.

Workday Security Serve as the subject matter expert and escalation point for Workday security as it relates to reporting and analytics. Provide guidance on role‑based, domain, business process, and organization‑based security to ensure appropriate access to sensitive workforce data. Apply least‑privilege and segregation‑of‑duties principles and partner with IT Security, Internal Audit, Compliance, and HR leadership on access reviews and risk remediation.

Data Governance, Production Support & Release Establish data governance practices that promote consistent definitions, reliable metrics, data quality, and appropriate reporting access. Maintain documentation for key reports, dashboards, calculated fields, data sources, metrics, and business definitions. Provide senior‑level escalation support for reporting, analytics, data, performance, and security issues and lead root‑cause resolution. Evaluate Workday releases for reporting, analytics, and security impacts and lead regression testing and readiness activities.

Automation, AI & Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to automate reporting, data validation, distribution, and analytical processes and improve reporting performance and user experience. Leverage AI and advanced analytics to identify workforce trends, anomalies, and actionable insights. Continuously identify opportunities to modernize reporting, improve operational efficiency, and expand self‑service analytics initiatives.

Qualification Required
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Human Resources, Business, Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of Workday experience, with strong expertise in Reporting and Security.
  • Advanced proficiency in Workday Reporting, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite Reports, Calculated Fields, Business Objects, Report Data Sources, and dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of Workday Security, data governance, privacy, access controls, and segregation of duties.
  • Experience owning reporting roadmaps, backlogs, priorities, and delivery while serving as a hands‑on Workday SME.
  • Experience supporting Workday HCM in a large, complex, multi‑entity, or unionized environment.
  • Experience managing consultants, implementation partners, or vendors.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, academic medical center, or other complex enterprise environments.
  • Workday Reporting and/or Security certification(s).
  • Experience with Prism Analytics, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and People Analytics.
  • Experience integrating Workday reporting with other HR and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with HR data governance, workforce analytics, and planning.
  • Familiarity with SOX, internal controls, and HR technology audit processes.
  • Experience leading reporting modernization, rationalization, or self‑service analytics initiatives.
