Job Summary

TheSeniorSystems Accountant is a hands-onsubject matterexpert responsible for supporting,maintaining, and enhancing the organization's Workday Finance environment.This role serves as a key day-to-day resource for issue resolution, process improvements,system configuration,and end-user support. The ideal candidate combines solid accounting knowledge with strong Workday technical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and configuration of Workday Finance, including business process frameworks, security roles, and user setup

  • Act as a functional subject matter resource for Workday Finance, with working knowledge across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Financial Close

  • Partner with Accounting and Finance stakeholders to analyze business problems, document requirements, and support delivery of Workday Finance solutions

  • Assistin developing business requirements, test scripts, and training documentation for Workday Finance projects and enhancements

  • Troubleshoot system issues and configuration errors,identifyroot causes, and escalate or coordinate resolutions with IT or the Accounting Systems Manager

  • Monitor system interfaces, integrations, and data flows between Workday Finance and upstream/downstream systems to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Analyze current accounting processes andidentifyopportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and configuration improvements within Workday

  • Support system upgrades, Workday bi-annual releases, and new module implementations;assistwith regression testing and change communication

  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) andvalidatethat system changes meet functional and accounting requirements

  • Create andmaintainstandard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and process documentation; deliver end-user training on Workday Finance functionality

  • Support data governance processes and perform routine data quality reviews to ensure integrity across the Workday Finance ecosystem

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Workday Financeconfiguration, including business process design, security roles, and reporting

  • Solid understanding of accounting processes including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and financial close cycles

  • Familiarity with system integrations, API concepts, ETL processes, and change management practices

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across both business and technical roles

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities while meeting deadlines and producing meaningful deliverables

RequiredEducation and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems, or related field

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Systems roles

  • Experience with Workday Financeina systems, configuration, or functional analyst capacity

  • Experience with ERP or financial systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

  • Familiarity with financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and core accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday certification or direct experience with Workday Financemodules (e.g., Accounting Center, Financial Accounting, Procurement)

  • Prior involvement in ERP implementations or large-scale financial systems projects

  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent accounting certification

  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $137,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
