The Workday Financial Management Analyst serves as the organization's primary technical expert for Workday Financial Management, responsible for optimizing system configuration, driving automation, and enabling Finance to fully leverage Workday capabilities. This role partners closely with Finance leadership to design scalable solutions, enhance reporting and analytics, and ensure the integrity and efficiency of financial processes across the enterprise.

Primary Duties

These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Payroll, and HRIS stakeholders to gather business requirements and support Workday Finance solutions aligned with HRIS standards and governance.

  • Provide handson configuration and support for Workday Financial Management modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Projects, and related Finance functionality.

  • Handles Workday Finance business process configuration, including approvals, validations, routing rules, and audit controls, under the guidance of HRIS Finance Lead or HRIS leadership.

  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across Finance and HRISintegrated workflows.

  • Develop, maintain, and support Workday Finance reports, including standard and custom reports to meet operational, leadership, and compliance needs.

  • Support Workday Finance integrations, assisting with testing, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for inbound and outbound interfaces.

  • Create and maintain system documentation, including requirements, configuration details, business process flows, and job aids.

  • Execute unit testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Workday Finance enhancements and releases.

  • Review and validate Workday biannual releases, assessing impact to Finance configuration, business processes, and reporting.

  • Provide enduser support and training to Finance and HRIS users, including development of easytounderstand job aids and reference materials.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support HRIS and Finance initiatives including Workday Financials enhancements, optimization efforts, and system integrations.

  • Collaborate with HRIS HCM, Payroll, and IT teams to ensure crossfunctional system alignment.

  • Participate in HRIS roadmap planning and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field required.

  • 3-5 years of Workday Financial Management experience with handson exposure to configuration, business processes, and reporting required.

  • Advanced knowledge of Workday Financials data model, accounting rules, allocations, period close processes, and financial reporting structures.

  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial operations preferred.

  • Advanced report writing skill and hands on experience in Matrix and Composite reports.

  • Experience supporting Workday Finance testing, reporting, and production support preferred.

  • Workday Financials certification(s) a plus.

  • Advanced Excel and other MS Office applications required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of Workday Finance functional concepts within an HRIS environment.

  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system configuration and reporting solutions.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problemsolving, and analytical skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

  • High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced HRIS environment.
