Payroll Coordinator

Location: Plymouth, IN
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Environment: 100% On-Site
Pay Rate: $54,080–$66,560/hour (based on experience)

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities
  • Process full-cycle payroll for multiple departments and employee groups
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Maintain and update payroll system (ADP WFN preferred)
  • Review and process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and deductions
  • Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger accounts, and benefit deductions
  • Support quarterly and year-end payroll reporting (W-2s, 941s)
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate PTO and accrual balances
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close related to payroll
  • Support audits and provide payroll documentation as needed
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, FLSA, and multi-state payroll
  • Experience with ADP WFN or similar payroll systems
  • Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience processing high-volume payroll
  • Exposure to payroll-related GL entries and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
