Wellness Assistant - Part Time

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9am to 1pm

Tuesday, Thursday - 12pm to 6pm

Duties and Responsibilities

· Assists Wellness Director with setting up and promoting special events on campus including Wellness Fair, Fall Prevention Week, Senior Olympics, Triathlon, etc.

· Provides and schedules ongoing fitness assessments and personal training sessions

· Teaches and/or substitutes exercise classes for seniors and employees including Aqua Strength, Dance Fitness, Circuit Training, Boxing, Weights and Bands, Balance, Yoga, etc.

· Keeps accurate client records and tracks class attendance through electronic portal

· Maintains pool and fitness areas

· Other duties as assigned by Wellness Director

Required Skills/Abilities

· Ability to work comfortably with older adults

· Understanding and accommodating the needs associated with the aging population

· Intermediate computer skills with ability to learn new technology

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Must have CPR certification or willing to obtain

· Nationally recognized personal training and/or group exercise certifications, i.e. ACSM, NASM, ACE

· At least one year working with the senior population
