Job description

Description

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) | Flexible 1099 Inpatient Coverage
Atlanta, Georgia
Flexible Inpatient FNP Opportunity | Weekday & Weekend Coverage

Ally Psychiatry is expanding our inpatient services in the Atlanta, Georgia market and is seeking experienced Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) interested in flexible 1099 independent contractor opportunities.

We are looking for FNPs to provide weekday/on-call coverage as well as weekend coverage, making this an excellent opportunity for providers interested in supplemental income and flexible clinical work that can complement an existing position or practice.

Our Family Nurse Practitioners provide the medical component of care for patients receiving inpatient behavioral health treatment, primarily completing History & Physical examinations (H&Ps), medical follow-up visits, and addressing routine medical needs during hospitalization.

Experience working with child and adolescent patient populations is preferred.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This opportunity is designed with flexibility in mind.

Rather than committing to another traditional full-time position, providers can add inpatient coverage to their existing schedule while earning additional income for their availability and clinical services.

We are currently seeking providers interested in:

Weekday and on-call coverage

Weekend FNP coverage

Recurring or mutually agreed-upon coverage

Supplemental inpatient work alongside an existing full-time, part-time, or private practice position

Flexible 1099 independent contractor work

Depending on the coverage arrangement, providers may receive compensation for scheduled on-call availability in addition to fee-for-service compensation for clinical services performed.

What You'll Do

As an inpatient Family Nurse Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with the psychiatric treatment team while focusing on the medical needs of hospitalized behavioral health patients.

Responsibilities include:

Complete comprehensive History & Physical examinations (H&Ps) for newly admitted patients

Perform medical follow-up visits throughout hospitalization

Evaluate and manage routine acute and chronic medical conditions within the scope of the position

Review laboratory results, diagnostic testing, medical histories, and current medications

Address medical needs that arise during scheduled coverage

Provide medical support for child and adolescent inpatient behavioral health populations

Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric APPs, nursing staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team

Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation

Promote continuity of care and positive patient outcomes throughout hospitalization

Looking for Weekend or Supplemental Work?

Already have a weekday position or established practice? This opportunity may be an excellent fit.

We are specifically looking for Family Nurse Practitioners with weekend availability, in addition to providers interested in weekday and on-call coverage.

Whether you're looking for recurring weekend work, additional clinical hours, or a flexible way to supplement your current income, this opportunity allows you to put your experience to work without taking on another traditional full-time position.

Why Ally Psychiatry?

At Ally Psychiatry, we are committed to improving access to high-quality behavioral healthcare while creating an environment where providers feel supported, valued, and connected to the teams they serve.

Our providers collaborate across inpatient and outpatient settings to support patients, facility partners, and the communities we serve.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for experienced clinicians who value flexibility, collaboration, quality patient care, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Interested? Let's Talk.
