Job description

Applied Laboratories is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Production Operators to join our dedicated Weekend Production Crew. Production Operators are responsible for operating filling equipment, preparing production components, following batch record instructions, inspecting products, documenting production activities, and maintaining clean, compliant manufacturing areas. This role plays a critical part in producing high-quality products while supporting safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

Schedule
  • Friday through Sunday
  • Three 12-hour shifts
  • Premium weekend rate
  • Work 3 days while earning the equivalent of a 40-hour workweek
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read batch records and follow instructions throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Pull components to the manufacturing line and prepare materials for production runs.
  • Verify components match batch record requirements, including item numbers and descriptions.
  • Ensure components are released for use, properly identified, and accurately tracked throughout production and warehouse return processes.
  • Complete required documentation of component usage and production activities.
  • Operate filling equipment in accordance with established procedures and batch record requirements.
  • Monitor production activities and communicate equipment, quality, or process issues to maintenance, engineering, line leads, or supervisors.
  • Document line downtime, scrap, and production output as requested.
  • Operate pallet jacks after completing required training.
  • Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform line clearance activities and assist with production changeovers as required.
  • Clean filling suites, production equipment, and surrounding work areas.
  • Maintain proper PPE, housekeeping, sanitation, and documentation practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and trained.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment and requires compliance with all safety, quality, GMP, sanitation, and PPE requirements. Employees must be able to stand for extended periods, perform routine production and inspection activities, complete documentation, operate pallet jacks when trained, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Training and Onboarding

Any additional training required for weekend operations will be conducted during weekday first-shift hours to support a successful transition into the role.
