TITLE: Library Aide/Clerk
START DATE: 08/17/2026
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High school diploma.
  2. Paraprofessional License or PEL preferred
  3. Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
  4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO: Principal/Library Teacher
JOB GOAL: To provide a well organized, smoothly functioning learning center environment in which students can take full advantage of the materials available.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assists with the ordering and receiving of books selected for purchase by the principal/Library Teacher.
  2. Maintains files of catalog cards, vertical file material, publishers' catalogs and the like.
  3. Makes simple repairs on damaged books and processes more severely damaged books for repair at the bindery.
  4. Monitors attendance in the learning center.
  5. Shelves incoming books.
  6. Maintains current inventory of supplies and suggests items for acquisition as needed.
  7. Oversees the general neatness and attractiveness of the learning center and its displays.
  8. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Full or part-time employment.
10 months, 6.75 hours per day
Starting Rate- $16.72/hour
Eligible for health and dental benefits
Paid sick and personal leave
