We are currently looking for a Weekend Concierge for The Fairmont by Barclay House

Primary Responsibilities of the Front Desk Concierge:

  • Stands, greets and assists residents, family members, guests, vendors and prospects as they enter. Ensures hospitality station is ready with coffee, cold drinks. Offers a high level of hospitality to all guests and employees.
  • Answers telephone, including transferring, taking messages, utilizing on-hold function and paging. Insures each phone and in-person inquiry is directed to the right person and not to voicemail. Adheres to the community phone etiquette policy.
  • Assists with hospitality services as needed and/or directed by General Manager or Manager-On-Duty.
  • Assists residents and family members during the admission process.
  • Provides tours to prospects and assists with marketing efforts as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Delivers and distributes mail to residents and department directors.
  • Assists in the dining room and during special events as requested by the Executive Director.
  • Assists with activities as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Maintains company dress code, wears identification badge and promotes a positive and professional image.
  • Supports the General Manager by assisting with general administrative functions, such as filing.
  • Performs all other duties which support the programs and services of the Community.
  • Adheres and supports the policies and procedures of QSL Management.
  • Ensures Lobby is clean, appealing and in good order. Reports maintenance issues to the General Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two years general office experience, including reception experience.
  • Experience working with the older adult population (preferred)
  • Professional and polished with proper grammar skills and pleasant voice tone.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management and oral/written skills
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Must be attentive to details, able to multi-task, and work with multiple interruptions.
  • Basic knowledge with Microsoft Word (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge with Microsoft Excel (preferred).
  • Ability to work flexible schedules in 24-hour operation including weekends and holidays as requested.
