Weekend Concierge (Part-Time)

Position Title: Weekend Concierge
Department: Administration
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Executive Director or Designee

Position Summary

The Weekend Concierge serves as the first point of contact for residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and team members. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing incoming phone calls, greeting visitors, monitoring building access, and assisting with administrative and clerical duties as needed. The Concierge helps create a warm, welcoming, and secure environment for residents and guests during weekend hours.

Essential Responsibilities

Customer Service & Reception

  • Greet residents, families, visitors, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously.
  • Provide information and assistance to residents, families, and visitors.
  • Maintain a welcoming and positive presence at the front desk.

Building Access & Security

  • Monitor front entrance activity and building access throughout the shift.
  • Ensure visitors sign in according to community procedures.
  • Confirm visitor authorization when necessary and notify staff of arrivals.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, safety concerns, or emergencies to appropriate team members.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with receiving and distributing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Maintain visitor logs and other required records.
  • Support administrative staff with clerical tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with community communications and resident inquiries.

Resident Relations

  • Foster positive relationships with residents and families.
  • Respond to resident requests and direct concerns to the appropriate department.
  • Promote a culture of hospitality, respect, and service excellence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service, receptionist, hospitality, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications, including email and Microsoft Office.
  • Friendly, professional, and dependable demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the community during the shift.
  • Ability to use office equipment including computers, phones, printers, and copiers.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
