Job description

Do you know the collections industry inside and out? Have you spent your career helping agencies recover payments, managing operations, improving collections performance, or supporting clients—and wondered what it would be like to use that expertise in a new way?

At Autoscribe, we're looking for someone with collections industry experience who is ready to transition into a consultative business development role. You don't need years of outside sales experience—we'll provide the mentoring, coaching, and support to help you become a successful sales professional.

Your industry knowledge is what matters most.

In this role, you'll build relationships with collection agencies and other organizations, understand their payment challenges, and introduce them to Autoscribe's payment technology solutions. Working alongside experienced sales leaders, you'll learn how to prospect, conduct discovery meetings, present solutions, and close new business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands collections operations and wants to build a rewarding career in business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients throughout the accounts receivable and collections industry.
  • Learn and execute a consultative sales process with coaching from experienced sales leadership.
  • Identify business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry associations, conferences, and outbound outreach.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand operational workflows and payment challenges.
  • Demonstrate how Autoscribe's payment solutions help organizations improve collections, increase payment adoption, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Build and maintain an active pipeline within Salesforce.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Customer Success to ensure prospects receive an exceptional experience.
  • Represent Autoscribe at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Continue developing sales, negotiation, and presentation skills through ongoing training and mentorship.
  • Achieve individual and team revenue goals.

Who We're Looking For

We're much more interested in industry expertise and curiosity than a traditional sales background.

Ideal candidates may have experience as:

  • Collections Operations Manager
  • Collections Supervisor
  • Agency Operations Manager
  • Client Success Manager within the ARM industry
  • Recovery Manager
  • Payment Processing Specialist
  • Collection Agency Manager
  • Operations Director
  • Business Analyst supporting collections organizations

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years working in the accounts receivable management (ARM), collections, debt recovery, financial services, or payment processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of collection agency operations, payment workflows, compliance, or client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Curious, coachable, and eager to learn consultative selling.
  • Comfortable speaking with executives and operational leaders.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM is helpful but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but equivalent industry experience will absolutely be considered.

What Will Make You Successful

You don't need to be an experienced salesperson.

You do need to:

  • Enjoy building relationships.
  • Be naturally curious and ask great questions.
  • Understand the day-to-day challenges collection agencies face.
  • Want to learn.
  • Be resilient.
  • Enjoy helping customers solve problems.

We'll teach you the rest.
