Job description

Join a respected claims and risk-management organization as a senior-level Casualty Claims Adjuster. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys independently managing complex commercial auto, bodily injury, and general liability claims from initial review through resolution, including litigated files.

You will own an assigned inventory of claims across multiple jurisdictions, applying sound coverage analysis, investigation, reserve-setting, negotiation, and settlement strategies. This is a highly visible role with direct interaction with clients, defense counsel, claimants, attorneys, and investigative partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle commercial auto, bodily injury, and general liability claims, including litigated and non-litigated matters

  • Analyze coverage, liability, damages, and potential exposure

  • Set and maintain accurate reserves; develop well-supported settlement recommendations

  • Direct outside investigators and coordinate with counsel and client stakeholders

  • Prepare detailed loss reports and maintain complete, timely claim documentation

  • Identify subrogation and risk-transfer opportunities

  • Maintain an organized claim diary and provide responsive, high-quality client service

Requirements:

  • Active New York State and California Adjuster Licenses—required

  • 3+ years of auto and general liability claims handling experience

  • Strong knowledge of coverage, litigation management, claim investigation, and negotiation

  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, organizational, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage a file inventory independently in a fast-paced remote environment

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree and additional state licenses preferred

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of meaningful casualty claims work while working remotely.
