We’re hiring a Housekeeping Inspector to Live. Work. Explore. in the gateway to Glacier National Park!

Job Summary:
Deliver exceptional guest experiences by ensuring all rooms and public spaces meet high cleanliness and quality standards. This role supports daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning, room readiness, and responding to guest needs, while maintaining strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence. Inspectors will also assist in other departments as needed to support overall lodge operations.

The Details:
Position Type: Full-time, Year-Round
Start Date: Immediately
Pay: $18.90/hr + tips
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/week. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays. Hours may be limited during shoulder season.
Housing: Employee housing is not available

Responsibilities
  • Will perform Housekeeping Room Attendant duties 2 shifts per week and Housekeeping Inspector duties 3 shifts per week.
  • Provide personalized service to all guests and ensure highest quality standards of housekeeping are met for guests.
  • Report any technical or maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
  • Report unusual guest conduct to the Location Manager or Manager on Duty.
  • Ensure that Lost & Found and key security procedures are followed.
  • Complete required training and certifications; cross-train in other departments as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Location Manager.

Room Attendant Duties:

  • Responsible for daily cleaning of guest rooms and bathrooms as assigned in timely manner:
    • Strips and remakes beds, roll-a-ways and cribs.
    • Cleans and sanitizes shower, bathtub, shower curtain and toilet; restocks tissue.
    • Sweeps and mops floors.
    • Vacuums carpets, dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures.
    • Cleans windowsills.
    • Brushes curtains, draperies and upholstered furniture.
    • Empties and cleans wastebaskets and relines with liners.
    • Empties and cleans recycle bins and follows recycling procedures.
    • Cleans ice buckets, coffee/tea stations.
    • Periodic washing of walls, woodwork and windows.
  • Replenish in-room collateral, bath care products, linens, and restock in-room coffee area.  
  • Assist with laundry duties during shift as needed:
    • Use commercial laundry equipment.
    • Fold and stock linens and towels.

Inspector Duties:

  • Prepare Housekeeper room assignments for the shift through HotSOS.
  • Strip beds.
  • Inspect rooms throughout the day and ensure rooms are ready by 4pm. 
  • Assist with stocking linen closets and Housekeeping carts.
  • Clean rooms as needed while on Inspector shifts. 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Organized with good time management and efficiency in movement.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Friendly, professional, and guest-service focused.
  • Effective communication and ability to handle guest concerns with tact.
  • Committed to following company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Experience:

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Previous lead/supervisor experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Supervising Housekeeping team's daily tasks.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies and linens sporadically throughout the day. 
  • Push and pull a hotel or laundry cart up to 75 pounds as needed. 
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as making beds and cleaning for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  •  
    Frequent bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching while making beds and cleaning rooms. 
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, including stairs and occasional outdoor areas. 
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment, following all safety and PPE requirements.
