Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Designer to lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of public-facing and internal organizational websites. This role focuses on user experience, site architecture, and the integration of digital visual strategies. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of organizational websites; build templates, optimize navigation, and incorporate interactive features.
  • Track, report, and interpret website analytics via monthly reports; provide data-driven recommendations to leadership to build digital presence.
  • Develop and maintain internal repositories for workforce policies and communications resources; ensure content is accurate, accessible, and branded.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in public affairs, education, environmental studies, marine affairs, marine biology or related.
  • Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience in web content management, site architecture, or digital resource administration within a NOAA mission-driven environment/contract.
  • Knowledge of industry standard visual communication and multimedia products.
  • Proficiency in web analytics, content management systems, and collaborative IT coordination to enhance digital presence
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.
  • Capacity to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced "quick response" environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support events and related logistics.
