Job description

About the Role
As a Waste Tech, you'll support clean and well-maintained apartment communities through daily trash and recycling services. This active, outdoor role includes servicing waste areas, driving routes, and documenting work through our mobile app. We're looking for reliable team members who work hard, stay consistent, and care about delivering great service.
Schedule & Pay:
  • Full Time
  • Monday- Friday
  • Start time: xx:xx AM
  • Overtime may be required
  • Pay $xx - $xx / hr. (Depending on experience)

Waste Tech Driver Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a company vehicle to complete scheduled daily routes, following all traffic laws and practicing defensive driving at all times.
  • Sort trash, recycling, and compostables on-site into the correct containers, following established decontamination guidelines.
  • Manually compact and redistribute materials in bins to maximize space and efficiency.
  • Sweep and maintain trash enclosures, trash rooms, and trash chutes.
  • Remove bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, and equipment as needed.
  • Identify and safely handle hazardous materials according to training.
  • Document completed services with photos using our mobile app.
  • Communicate service issues, property concerns, or access problems to management promptly.
  • Build positive working relationships with property managers, maintenance teams, and residents
  • Participate in vehicle inspections and report equipment issues, accidents, or incidents immediately.

Waste Tech Driver Requirements:
  • Valid non-CDL driver's license with at least 2 consecutive years of licensed driving.
  • Clean driving record - verified after offer
  • Ability to frequently lift 50-80 lbs and push/maneuver equipment over 500 lbs.
  • Comfortable stepping in and out of vehicle and waste containers safely using a ladder.
  • Ability to work independently and stay on pace through a full shift.

  • Prior experience in waste management, facilities, landscaping, or a similar outdoor labor role.
  • Familiarity with recycling guidelines and proper waste handling practices.
  • Customer-facing experience in a service environment.
