NOW HIRING: VP, Strategic Solutions

Compensation: $200,000-$240,000 per year

Job Overview

The leader holding this position will provide full-cycle strategic sales leadership. This individual will be responsible for spearheading strategic sales initiatives that are consistent with SBM's organic growth with existing clients while meeting regional, company, and individual growth objectives. A successful VP will also drive thought leadership opportunities and client relationship development for the business, ultimately leading to successful market penetration.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must have visionary leadership skills, strategic agility and good decision-making skills.

  • Ability to build and lead teams in a collaborative environment that fosters a high performance team culture through engagement and teaming.

  • Working closely with Operations Leadership, build a long-term and sustainable business development strategy and approach.

  • Must bring a professional maturity to lead the sales efforts, strategic account teams, set targets, and manage skillfully through long sales cycles.

  • Partner with Operations Leadership to understand various regional and market perspectives, competitive variances, pricing structures, labor relations, SWOT analysis, and opportunity growth areas.

  • Research and make recommendations on potential strategic partnerships or joint initiatives that supports SBM's growth objectives and drives key differentiating services to the market.

  • Work with marketing to develop collateral for sales and presentations.

  • Manage complex contract negotiations and work with legal counsel and finance as required.

  • Seeks to take a collaborative approach to working within the team, region, and the broader company as a means of building credibility and support throughout the organization.

  • Effectively use deliberate influence strategies to impact, shape, or re-direct the behaviors of others, with or without formal authority.

  • The ability to communicate through active listening with clients, colleagues, and the team is critical.

  • Great presentation skills for a variety of sales settings are required.

  • Ability to successfully build alliances and influence key decision makers.

  • A proven track record of high growth and consultative sales.

  • Strong negotiation skills combined with financial acumen will be required for this person to influence client outcomes.

  • Must consistently demonstrate rigor and discipline into the sales process by ensuring systems and tools available are utilized to promote the highest impact and use of key resources.

  • Proven stable track record selling at the "C" level and proactive prospecting/networking at the financial decision making level.

  • Must be able to produce a persuasive proposal through exceptional writing skills as required for all RFP's, RFQ's, contracts, and all other forms of written communication.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at multiple stages of the process.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and expectations.

  • Some travel may be required for this position.
