Job description

Program OverviewThe Oklahoma Warriors NAHL and OKC Warriors NA3HL Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in the strategic marketing and promotional efforts of a junior hockey organization. Interns will work directly with the Director of Operations and game day staff to support marketing campaigns, sponsorship activation, community outreach, and overall brand development throughout the hockey season.
This internship offers practical exposure to campaign planning, fan engagement, market research, and live event execution in a fast-paced sports environment. Interns will gain valuable experience working behind the scenes and directly with fans, sponsors, and community partners during Oklahoma Warriors and OKC Warriors home games and events.
Program Objectives
• Provide practical experience in sports marketing and brand management.
• Develop communication, creative, and project management skills.
• Expose interns to sponsorship fulfillment, community outreach, and promotional strategy.
• Foster professional growth through collaboration with team staff and business partners.
• Build leadership and analytical skills through live event operations.
Internship Structure & Responsibilities
1. Marketing Campaign Development (Primary Focus)

• Assist with planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
• Develop promotional ideas to drive attendance, ticket sales, and fan engagement.
• Support sponsorship activation and fulfillment efforts.
• Conduct market research and track campaign performance.
• Assist with email marketing, grassroots outreach, and database initiatives.
2. Community Outreach & Promotions
• Coordinate community appearances, school visits, and promotional events.
• Assist with theme nights, giveaways, and special event activations.
• Help cultivate partnerships with local organizations and youth sports groups.
3. Game Day Operations
• Support sponsor activations and in-arena promotions.
• Assist with fan engagement initiatives and customer experience efforts.
• Provide operational support wherever needed throughout events.
Learning Outcomes

Internship DurationThis internship will span the full hockey season from September through April. Interns will work flexible hours based on the team schedule, including nights, weekends, and home games.
Because game nights provide the majority of hands-on learning opportunities, interns should plan to be present for most of the Oklahoma Warriors and/or OKC Warriors home games and team events throughout the season.
Multiple internship positions are available.
CompensationThis is an unpaid internship; however, college credit may be earned if applicable through the intern's academic institution.
