Volunteer Office Manager
Join the Open Door Mission's team of dedicated staff who are committed to full-time Christian ministry and breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty!
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Open Door Mission's Volunteer Office Manager is the first point of contact for volunteer inquiries and must be able to engage with volunteers and staff. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Volunteer Team and for maintaining the master calendar for group scheduling.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A full job description will be provided for review during the interview process.
  • Monitor all initial communications with the Volunteer Department including but not limited to: phone, email, & web forms.
  • Update, maintain and manage the Volunteer Department's master calendar in Google.
  • Collaborate with and assist the Volunteer Department on each step of the Volunteer Life Cycle: recruitment & onboarding (including processing applications and background checks), engagement, retention & recognition.
  • Create experience agendas: collaborate with Chief Community Relations Officer, Volunteer Director, and department leads to create well-planned experiences for groups.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS...
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • A visible relationship with Jesus Christ, and ability to share the gospel as opportunities arise.
  • Consistent attendance at a local Christian church
  • Excellent customer service required
  • Proficient computer skills, including Google Suite and general computer operations.

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE...
  • 3+ years in executive assistant or receptionist role
  • Experience in a Human Services non-profit
  • Experience coordinating volunteers
