A Virtual Informatics Nurse is a registered nurse who specializes in integrating nursing science with information technology to improve patient care, typically working remotely or in virtual environments. They help design, implement, and optimize electronic health records (EHRs), provide training and support to clinical staff, and analyze healthcare data to enhance workflows and outcomes. These professionals act as a bridge between clinical staff and IT departments, ensuring that technology solutions meet the needs of both patients and healthcare providers. Their role is increasingly important as telehealth and digital health solutions become more common.

How does a virtual informatics nurse typically collaborate with clinical and IT teams to improve patient care processes?
