Qualified Medication Aide (QMA)
Location: River Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation, Evansville, IN

River Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation is hiring a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The QMA will administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medical records under the supervision of a Charge Nurse.

Position Details

Starting Rate: $19+/hour

Shift Available:

  • 3pm-11pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identity before administering medications and document drug name, dosage, and time of administration.

  • Administer medications and observe patient responses, reporting any unexpected reactions to the appropriate personnel.

  • Take vital signs and monitor patients for changes in response to medications.

  • Document reasons for any medications not administered and maintain accurate records.

  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, feeding, and during examinations or treatments.

  • Receive, prepare, and administer prescribed medications as needed, while managing and restocking medication inventories.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program.

  • Successful completion of state requirements for Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) certification.
