Job Summary:

A major non-profit organization is looking for a Virtual Event Producer to join the Event Production, Programming & Technology team to oversee the development, coordination, and execution of virtual events via our in-house studio and control room. This individual will be responsible for leading content development and creative direction, managing budgets and logistics, handling technical setup and rehearsals, acting as Technical Director during broadcasts, and analyzing performance data for future improvements. The Virtual Event Producer will work closely within the Event Production, Programming & Technology team and with outside partners to ensure that each event is executed flawlessly from conception to completion.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail along with the ability to coordinate and manage production elements effectively and efficiently. They should feel confident proactively tackling to-do lists while anticipating next steps within an event’s timeline. This candidate must thrive in a team-oriented environment and feel comfortable collaborating regularly with stakeholders.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Event Planning & Strategy

  • Develop overall program structure and individual segments for hour-long, multi-segment virtual events that occur on a semi-regular basis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams in the lead-up to ensure event goals are met with a high level of production.
  • Direct the development of graphics—including on-air graphics and physical sets—to ensure brand consistency and adherence to best practices.

Logistics & Coordination

  • Create and maintain detailed event plans, including tech flows, rehearsal schedules, and production schedules.
  • Arrange rehearsals with a team of freelancers, in-house talent, and other stakeholders ahead of broadcasts.
  • Maintain relationships with a bench of freelance AV crew to ensure proper staffing for each event.

Live Event Execution

  • Oversee the live broadcast as Technical Director/Show Caller: manage program flow, work with the Engineer to troubleshoot technical problems in real time, and ensure a positive and professional user experience.

Post-Event Analysis

  • Track key metrics, gather attendee feedback, generate insightful reports, and use this data to optimize future events and demonstrate ROI.

Technical Management

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Event Technology to manage virtual event platforms such as Brightcove, Castr, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring there is an appropriate broadcast solution for each type of production.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–5+ years of experience in a broadcast studio as an Event Producer with a focus on production.
  • Experience with virtual event platforms such as Brightcove, Castr, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred, but not required if the candidate can demonstrate parallel knowledge with other platforms.
  • Experience with Zoom, Zoom Webinar, and Wirecast (or similar technology) required.
  • Full competency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn internally used project management and file management applications. Knowledge of Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Strong file management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Superb attention to detail and a “get it done” work ethic.
  • Ability to recognize high production values and maintain attention to detail across all tasks.
  • Ability to operate flexibly, find creative solutions, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of the U.S. political system, U.S.-Israel relationship, and international affairs is a plus.
  • Must be available for weekend work as major deadlines approach, as well as work and travel on weekends for events.

Please include links to virtual events as part of your cover letter and explain your role in each of them.
