Job description

At Off the Grid, food is how we bring people together across the Bay Area — and someone has to make sure the experience is flawless when it does.

We’re looking for an Onsite Event Producer to be our person on the ground at corporate dinners, brand activations, conferences, and private occasions. You’re the face of OTG when it counts most.

This role was built for people who have a few things going on. Many of our best producers also bartend, teach, or freelance. If that’s you — welcome.

What the role looks like

Before events, you’ll join handoffs with our Catering Event Producers — fully briefed on every venue detail, layout, staffing plan, and client expectation.

On event day, you’re in charge on the ground. Directing vendors. Managing service flow. Keeping clients, venue contacts, and inspectors informed and happy — often all at once.

After events, you debrief with the team. Your observations shape how we keep getting better.

Who thrives here
  • Hospitality-first — you lead with warmth, not just logistics
  • Calm under pressure — challenges are opportunities, not crises
  • Curious about food and genuinely excited to work alongside the Bay Area’s best independent vendors
  • 2+ years in events, catering, or hospitality with supervisory experience
  • Reliable Bay Area transportation and flexible evening/weekend availability
What you’ll get
  • $25–35/hour based on experience
  • Flexible shift scheduling — no rigid weekly minimums
  • Access to OTG’s vendor community and the Bay Area food scene
  • A genuine path to full-time Event Producer roles for strong performers

Off the Grid is committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Based in the Bay Area. Part-time, up to 30 hrs/week at peak. Evenings and weekends required.
