What will I do?

As a Buyer you will manage supplies needed for client product and business portfolios (orders). This position encompasses the administration of generating purchase orders, ensuring supply orders are processed timely, working with schedulers and Customer Service Specialists to ensure supplies needed to fulfill orders are on hand and if not, working with suppliers to ensure supplies are ordered and tracked.

If you like supporting an innovative business and product solutions including, but not limited to processing and entering specs into our ERP and feel a sense of responsibility for providing support through the processing of daily transactions that support logistics of supplies critical to support the sales of Stephen Gould offerings, this job is for you! The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for generating purchase orders, maintaining purchase orders and price lists, and updating schedulers and customer service specialists on supply status. Communication, detail orientation, multitask oriented, accountability, self-motivation, and time management are key to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will communicate with suppliers, account coordinators and schedulers but may also interact with sales agents, project managers, branch and corporate partners and warehouse personnel.
  • You will be responsible for adhoc reporting and ensuring purchasing and supplier data is up to date
  • You will track down purchases making sure you know where product is going and when it will arrive.
  • You will receive, process and place supply orders including scheduling shipment of goods via land, air and or sea.
  • Complete ad hoc reporting and data entry as needed
  • Within the ERP system (Epicor) you will capture all supporting documentation for orders included but not limited to freight invoices and inventory management documents.
  • This role is responsible for working directly with customer service specialists, schedulers and sales teams within the Sales Department. You will report to the branch Office Manager. 

Role Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business or related discipline + 2 years of experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline highly preferred
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and virtual communication and collaboration tools – such as Microsoft Teams, Webex and Zoom highly preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system knowledge for core supply chain, manufacturing, services, financial and other processes of an organization highly preferred.
  • Ideally experience in a corporate sales and service environment is preferred.
  • This role offers the opportunity to work a hybrid working model.
