Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: kdc/one, Groveport

Department: Supply Chain

Keep Production Moving. Control the Costs. Own the Details.

We’re looking for a detail-driven Buyer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you understand MRP, enjoy vendor negotiations, and know how to balance cost, quality, and service — this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Review material requirements and manage MRP in SAP
  • Place purchase orders and schedule deliveries to support production
  • Negotiate pricing and manage vendor performance (Cost, Quality, Service)
  • Maintain accurate lead times, capacity data, and material masters
  • Manage inventory levels, including slow-moving and obsolete materials
  • Expedite or delay shipments based on demand changes
  • Resolve quality issues and disposition rejected materials
  • Approve invoices and partner with Finance on discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, and company policies

What You Bring

  • BA/BS preferred (or equivalent manufacturing experience)
  • 3+ years of Buying experience
  • SAP experience required; APICS/CPIM a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
