Job description

POSITION TITLE: Buying Intern

LOCATION:  NYC office

JOB TYPE: Part-Time


ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Fashion Buying Intern will support the Buying team with day-to-day operations, including reporting, order management, and product data maintenance. This role provides hands-on exposure to buying, merchandising, inventory management, and e-commerce. The intern will work closely with the VP of Buying and gain valuable experience in luxury fashion and retail operations.


 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Support the buying team with order entry

·       Create and distribute weekly reporting

·       Assist the VP of buying with vintage buying and maintenance in POS system

·       Manage the product uploads and turn-ins for FarFetch business

·       Conduct competitive market and trend research to identify emerging fashion and consumer trends.

·       Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses to support assortment planning and buying strategies.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

·       Ability to work at least 3-4 days a week in office

·       Experience in Excel

·       Pursuing a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Buying or equivalent industry experience

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills

·       Ability to prioritize and multi-task to succeed in a fast-growing, team-oriented environment

·       A Strategic thinker with a result-focused approach
