Position Summary:
The Social Media Video Content Creator is responsible for coordinating with marketing, public relations, National Dragster, NHRA.com, sales, and TV (FOX Sports) to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and integration of social media across all NHRA communication platforms. The Social Media Video Content Creator will assist in promoting the social framework throughout the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging video content for NHRA's social media platforms that include Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok following the content calendar.
  • Develop, design, and execute creative video concepts, including shooting, editing, and posting video to NHRA's social media platforms and website.
  • Attending events, planning a shot list, filming, and editing to share out content in real-time.
  • Assists in securing talent for Social Influencer program and tracking results. Contacts and sets up celebrity and Social Influencer visit events and ensure ROI.
  • Monitor social media trends and present new ideas to enhance the current content strategy to increase total followers and engagement.
  • Independently and quickly edit and create content in a fast-paced environment for multiple platforms.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously - both planned and unplanned.
  • Be a resource for national event tracks to assist the implementation of their social media programs.
  • Monitor industry and report findings to management.
  • Other marketing activities and projects as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • ABA or BS in marketing/social media/media relations and/or related field is required.
  • 2-3 years of social media experience for a sports league, entertainment company, or marketing agency is required.
  • Must understand social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Experience covering "Live" sports/entertainment events on social media is preferred.
  • Experience required with producing and editing engaging video and gifs optimized for social media and digital content.
  • Experience with design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects) and other video editing software is preferred.
  • Superior visual storytelling abilities.
  • Must stay current with internet culture and can develop ideas and execute them.
  • Strong creative writing skills specific to social media, such as taglines, hashtags, descriptions, and teasers are required.
  • Knowledge of social analytics, Facebook Insights, social monitoring/listening tools.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated self-starter.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to innovate and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in an unstructured, fast-paced, start-up environment, completing assignments within tight deadlines accurately and creatively.
  • A passion for social media and wants to make a career as a social media / digital marketing professional.
  • Must be able to travel nationwide to 14-16 national events per year and work "on call" on all other race weekends.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, run, climb stairs, and lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 20lbs.
  • Ability to travel via air or car as needed to races.
