The Marketing Project Manager plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and managing a wide variety of marketing and communications projects that advance the university's strategic priorities. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this position partners with colleagues across campus to move projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, on brand, and with a high level of quality.
The Marketing Project Manager serves as a central point of coordination among internal stakeholders and the marketing team, managing timelines, priorities, and project workflows while helping to develop clear, compelling marketing content across print, digital, web, social media, video, and advertising channels. The ideal candidate is a proactive, adaptable professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys collaborating with campus partners, and is committed to advancing the university's mission through strategic, high-quality marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible to:
  • Testify to personal experience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University's Statement of Faith, abide by and practice our Life Together Covenant, and both personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of Taylor University.
  • Project Management
    • Coordinate and manage marketing and communications projects from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with university priorities.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, collaborating with campus partners to clarify objectives, gather content, establish timelines, and communicate project status.
    • Prioritize multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment while balancing shifting deadlines and organizational needs.
    • Facilitate project meetings, monitor and maintain project schedules, and proactively identify and resolve roadblocks.
  • Marketing Coordination
    • Coordinate the development of marketing assets across print, digital, web, social media, video, email, and advertising channels.
    • Help ensure marketing initiatives support the university's strategic priorities and institutional goals.
  • Content & Quality Assurance
    • Review and edit marketing materials for clarity, consistency, grammar, and alignment with the university's brand standards.
    • Ensure marketing assets are accurate, audience-focused, and delivered with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
    • Maintain consistency in messaging, tone, visual identity, and style across a variety of marketing channels.
  • Workflow & Process Management
    • Utilize project management systems and established workflows to track projects, manage priorities, and improve team efficiency.
    • Coordinate project schedules, approvals, and production timelines among internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed.
    • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and marketing leadership.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
    • A degree from Taylor University is preferred.
  • 5+ years of marketing or related experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing marketing projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management software and marketing technology platforms is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to edit and review marketing content for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Working knowledge of integrated marketing principles and the ability to coordinate projects across a variety of channels.
