Job description

seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Voice and Video Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Designs, implements, and maintains complex voice and video communication solutions, ensuring seamless and effective organizational communication.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of VoIP, video conferencing, unified communications platforms, and network infrastructure.
• Provides technical leadership, develops communication strategies, and integrates voice and video solutions into the overall communications environment.
• Designs and engineers scalable, reliable, and secure voice and video solutions to meet business requirements, and develops architectural diagrams and technical specifications.
• Evaluates and recommends new technologies, leads implementation and deployment of new systems, and collaborates with other IT staff for seamless integration.
• Monitors system performance, analyzes usage, implements security measures, and provides expert technical support.
• Develops knowledge base articles, conducts root cause analysis for incidents, takes direction from the DoDIN Operations Lead, and provides guidance to subordinate team members. Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years of professional experience • 5+ years relevant Voice and Video Engineer experience.
• Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting various voice and video equipment, including IP phones, video conferencing endpoints, gateways, and call control systems.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, QoS, and security protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of voice and video communication technologies, protocols, and standards (e.g., VoIP, SIP, H.323, WebRTC). Extensive experience with VoIP systems, video conferencing platforms, and unified communications solutions
• 8570 IASAE certification. Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Knowledge of emerging voice and video technologies (e.g., cloud-based solutions, AI-powered video analytics). Experience with network automation and orchestration for voice and video systems.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Collaboration Avaya Certified Expert (ACE), Unified Communications, Microsoft Certified Teams Administrator‒Associate.
• Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
• Working knowledge of technologies such as Land Mobile Radio, Satcom, Cabling and site surveys, inside and outside Plant and Point to Point. Clearance Requirements:
• Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligiblity. Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
