WalkerHughes Insurance is seeking a Vice President of Personal Lines & Small Commercial to lead one of the agency's core business units. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive leadership role is responsible for the strategy, growth, profitability, and operational performance of the Personal Lines and Small Commercial division. The Vice President will build high-performing teams, strengthen client and carrier relationships, and drive initiatives that support the agency's long-term vision.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Unit Leadership
  • Own the P&L and overall performance of the Personal Lines and Small Commercial business unit
  • Develop and execute strategies that drive profitable growth, client retention, and operational excellence
  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and agency integration initiatives
  • Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for growth and cross-selling
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop Community Business Advisors, Producers, and Account Managers
  • Establish team goals, monitor performance metrics, and provide ongoing coaching and accountability
  • Build a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional client service
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to support continued growth
Client & Operational Excellence
  • Champion a customer-first culture across the business unit
  • Develop strong relationships with carrier partners to expand market opportunities
  • Ensure operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and scalable service processes
  • Represent WalkerHughes at industry, carrier, and community events to strengthen the agency's presence
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Personal Lines and/or Small Commercial insurance experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with P&L responsibility preferred
  • Proven success leading high-performing teams and driving business growth
  • Strong knowledge of insurance operations, carrier relationships, and agency management systems
  • Active Property & Casualty License required; CIC, CPCU, or similar designation preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
