Job description

Risman Insurance Agencies is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing commercial insurance team. This role is responsible for servicing and managing a book of commercial clients while delivering a high level of customer service and supporting long-term account growth.

Risman Insurance Agencies is headquartered in Medford, MA, with additional offices in Tewksbury, Danvers, and Burlington. Employees may work out of Medford or Tewksbury, depending on preference and business needs. After onboarding, employees are eligible for one work-from-home day per week.


You will work alongside experienced insurance professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment. Compensation is competitive and may be higher based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and service a book of existing commercial lines accounts
  • Handle policy renewals, endorsements, billing inquiries, certificates, and claims support
  • Prepare insurance submissions, rate policies, and complete applications
  • Review accounts for cross-selling and account rounding opportunities
  • Prepare and present quotes and coverage options to clients and prospects
  • Communicate with direct and wholesale insurance carriers
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the agency management system (AMS360)
  • Provide proactive, professional, and responsive service to clients
  • Collaborate with producers and internal team members to support account retention and growth

Requirements
  • Active Property & Casualty license preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial lines insurance experience preferred
  • Experience with AMS360 or similar agency management system preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, positive demeanor with clients, carriers, and coworkers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Openness to feedback and a desire for continued professional growth
